Jon has stayed ahead of the nausea by requesting medication at the first sign of unease. Although his appetite is suppressed, he is eating well. He will come home tomorrow evening without a pic line (the chest catheter will be inserted next week).
Pic lines are prone to infection--not having one to worry about while he is resting next week will be a blessing... Additionally, we have received many helpful nutritional tips from cancer survivors and caregivers. I am excited to pump Jon full of walnuts, pomegranates, kale, mushrooms, wheat grass, filtered water...and Spiz... On a side note, Josiah made a trip to the ER today. He has a few forehead stitches and an injured leg, but he is doing well. All things in perspective, we are grateful for this day...
Talk to God with transparent earnestness. After all, He already knows what you're thinking. Present your case to Him, with all your limited knowledge and pain. He will not let you down. Oh jowahooziphat!! Poor Josi and poor Sarah to have a side order of ER to go with that spousal chemo. At some point the dice have to come in different ... here's hoping no pic line and controlled nausea are signs of those better rolls to come. Hang in there Jon.

OM&^%$#G!! Good morning All! So, did JoJo take a spill on the scooter? I can't help picturing it! I personally can't help thinking it's good you hit first blood (which is the way I always refer to first boy stitches!) now. I hate the waiting, and you KNOW they are coming with active boys!! He doesn't look too put out by it, though, really (another perk of boys!) And Sarah, I can't help thinking this is another reason for your unbelievable culinary talents. I can't imagine how I would put together something with walnuts, pomegranates, kale & mushrooms -- but I drool thinking what you can do with same!! I know your food love will keep Jon going. Thinking of you all, all the time.

Poor JoJo :-( We just did some ER forehead stitches with James. Never a fun experience. But, they recover!
